Psychotherapy

My Approach to Therapy

Real healing and change grow from both understanding and experience—making room for the pain of old trauma, the frustration of the present, or the longing for connection and self-expression. My goal is always to create a thoughtful, compassionate space where deeper clarity becomes a path toward meaningful and lasting change.

In our work together, we look at the stories, patterns, and relationships that have shaped your life—your past experiences, your current concerns, and your hopes for the future. To bring insight into lived experience, we may work with dreams, explore the therapeutic relationship itself, use cognitive-behavioral and relationship tools, or draw on experiential approaches such as the Gestalt empty-chair technique.

For those who wish it, I offer a therapeutic approach that integrates both psychology and spirituality. Many clients find that attending to the emotional and spiritual dimensions of life brings a deeper sense of meaning and transformation. This integration is always guided by your interests and comfort.

Areas of Focus

I work with individuals, couples, families, and parent–child dyads in areas such as:

  • Long-term patterns in relationships

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Trauma and its lasting impact

  • Divorce and stepfamily issues

  • Intercultural marriages and families

  • Sexual, health, and pain concerns

  • Life transitions

  • Grief and loss

I also offer support for leaders and organizations navigating relationship issues that affect executive teams, boards, and workplace dynamics.

How We Meet

All appointments are held remotely by secure video. I am licensed to work with clients in California and Hawaii. Remote sessions allow for flexibility while maintaining the depth, presence, and connection essential to meaningful therapeutic work.
